The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has continued to work on the community plan envisioned by former residents and community stakeholders. An update meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Van Dyke Community Center (392 Blake Avenue in Brooklyn).
At the meeting, we will review the findings of the Retail Market Feasibility Study, launch of the Financial Management and Education Services progam, and discuss the amendment of the Prospect Plaza HOPE VI Revitalization Plan. Your ongoing participation in realizing the Re-Vision Prospect Plaza Community Plan is crucial to the revitalization of Ocean Hill-Brownsville.
If you have any questions, please contact Catherine Zinnel in the NYCHA Department for Development at 212.306.4024 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
In direct response to concerns voiced by former Prospect Plaza residents and community stakeholders during the Re-Vision Prospect Plaza Community Planning Workshop in June 2010 and the Update Meeting in October 2010, NYCHA is seeking to partner with a qualified organization(s) to provide financial planning and management services, including credit and asset building services. Over a three-year period, the selected organization(s) will assist residents in becoming financially positioned to qualify for new affordable housing opportunities at the Prospect Plaza sites.
NYCHA recommends that all proposers attend the Submission Conference, scheduled for Wednesday February 9 from 10:00am to 11:30am. All proposals must be received by Wednesday February 23 at 5:00pm. The anticipated contract start date is March 28, 2011.
